Suginomori Brewery sits at close to 1000m in the breathtaking & snow-capped alps of Nagano, the highest altitude sake brewing facility in Japan.

High up in the Japanese Alps in the town of Narai-juku, surrounded by the cedar forests, a tiny sake brewery called Suginomori Shuzo has been brewing sake and is beloved by its community since 1793.

Like many historic breweries, the brewery succumbed to the decline of sake sales and went dormant in 2012. Almost a decade later, a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2021 led to the heroic resurrection & revival of the brewing facility.
